I hate to leave a bad review for local restaurants but my family convinced me. We ordered sesame chicken with EXTRA broccoli, pork spare ribs, roast pork fried rice, shrimp with snow peas and chicken & vegetables (but we were charged for pork with garlic sauce). The sesame chicken was a bit chewy, too sweet and only had 5 pieces of broccoli. My husband couldn’t even eat the pork spare rib- it was dry, heavily breaded and fatty. It doesn’t even look like pork spare ribs. There were only 6 tiny pieces of shrimp and a lot of snow peas. And tiny pieces of chicken (not pork) amongst the veggies. And sadly, the fried rice was just not fried enough (again, small pieces of pork). Overall, the talk around the dinner table was how bad the food was. My mother in law said “this is the worst chinese food I’ve ever had.” We would cheer every time someone found a piece of meat amongst the veggies. I’m sorry to write this but for $90…it was dreadful.

Did this place change owners? The food is terrible now! Sesame chicken and honey chicken was hard as cardboards and stale, it’s all breading with little to no chicken. Hot and sour soup too much corn starch, was like jello texture. We won’t be coming back and please just order from Red Pepper instead!

My husband and I had dinner here last night. I feel like this place is the best kept secret in Buffalo! Service is amazing and the food is fresh, high quality and decently priced. I ordered crab rangoons and General Tso Chicken, and my husband had vegetable lo mein and szechuan chicken. My favorite thing is that the chicken is moist on the inside- you don't get any tough, dried out pieces like you do with other chinese places. We will definitely be back again!

Just recently found out about Golden Hill Asian Cuisine from a friend and I have been back here multiple times since then. The food here is very good and have quite an authentic taste. My favorite dish here has to be the Beef Chow Fun and it tastes better here than any Chinese Restaurant I have tried it at locally. Honestly, you cannot go wrong most of the dishes here. I would recommend you all to give them a try.

I've dined here several times after discovering it a few months ago and WOW, the food here is truly spectacular!! Incredibly flavorful, hot, fresh, homemade ..simply delicious! It is clear the chef(s) take pride in their food and in the restaurant as a whole. I think many people do take out but they have a small & charming dine-in area, complete with beautiful lace tablecloths (under plastic, smart to keep those tablecloths looking prestine!) Old school touches like hot tea in the kettle as soon as you sit, and the juiciest orange slices when your meal is complete. Super clean! Had the same man as our waiter each time; not sure if he is the owner but he is SO nice and very attentive! I grew up eating fantastic Chinese food and over the years, there has been such a sharp decline in quality (generally), which has made me so sad. Finding Golden Hill was like "coming home" and rembering what truly delicious Chinese food is supposed to taste like! Yes I'm being dramatic lol, but it's true!
